I’m a little bit obsessed with this meme.
“That moment where…”
It’s become part of my inner monologue that comes out at random moments. Something happens and immediately it becomes:
“That moment where something happened”
I don’t even really know where it came from, where I first became aware of it. It was probably some facebook or twitter post from a friend or acquaintance or workmate.
This post is a whole “That moment where I decided to do something creative” thing. That moment doesn’t happen often. “That moment where I decide I want to do something creative and get overwhelmed by the possibilities that I end up doing nothing and playing computer games” happens much more often.
I’ve wanted to write a blog for so long now, but every time I sit down and try and write something the second of those two choices happens. It becomes an “I could do this, or this, or this, or this” conversation with myself which inevitably ends with “I’ll just play some Grand Theft Auto or Final Fantasy XIV whilst I decide”. Cut to 2 hours later I’m still playing the game and I haven’t thought about the blog what so ever.
“That moment where I decided to procrastinate”
The problem seems to come from the fact that I want to write about so much. In the past I’ve spent a week writing this brand new blog and had a scattergun approach to subjects which means one day I’ll be posting about Football, another day it will be Movies, another day it will be Motorsport, another day it will be Gaming. And then another day it might be Travelling. There’s a lot of websites out there to help people get blogging and they all say to write about what you’re passionate about. I’m somewhat passionate about all of those things above but I guess the main thing i’m passionate about is writing about those interests.
